APHA / Chesapeake Chapter exhibition at the Corcoran Gallery, Washington, D.C.

An exhibition of chapter members who print was installed at the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, DC. The exhibition will be on display for the national conferenence of the American Printing History Association October 15-16, 2010.

We will try to get more thoughtful photos at the conference once the lights have been set, but these images will give you an idea of what each person's space looks like.

This sequence of photos starts at the door and walks around to the right around about 50% of the gallery. The gallery is shared with students from the Book Arts Program at the Corcoran.

Thanks to all members who contributed work to the exhibition. A special thanks goes out to Jill Cypher & Ray Nichols for setting up and overseeing the installation and John Johnson for hanging in through the installation.

John Johnson, Greg Robison, Roland Hoover, Mike Denker and Chris Manson listen as Jill Cypher lays out the plan for selecting and installing the work.

Below is the layout of the area occupied by the work of each of the contributing members.

And two shots to give you a sense of the room. Apologies to Mike Anderson who hit at the edge of both images and isn't very visible.

The display should look better after the lights are set. Now to hope the work doesn't fall off the wall.
