Chris Sweterlitsch
Chris Sweterlitsch, an Assistant Director in Agency Publishing Services at the Government Printing Office, has procured printed matter for the federal government for the past 32 years. He has worked on projects as varied as the publication "Medicare and You", with a run of approximately 39 million books, and the plastic National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass cards. Before coming to the government, he worked briefly in Pittsburgh hand feeding gift catalogs into a C&P press to imprint the covers.
He graduated in 1975 from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Chris owns a Golding Pearl 7 x 11 platen press which is currently stored in what use to be called the "spare room" of his house but is now referred to as the Press Room. At least by Chris ... but not so much by his wife.
